All Home Care Agencies should be prepared for the wage increases and wage parity decreases in 2024. The Wage Parity Law, originally passed in 2012, requires additional and supplemental benefits to be paid. These benefits are in addition to home care workers’ regular wage.
Effective January 1, 2024, the requirements will be reduced to the following:
- New York City from $4.09 to $2.54
- Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester from $3.22 to $1.67.
