Irene Sinayskaya, Managing Partner

Irene Sinayskaya is one of the Managing Partners at Sinayskaya Yuniver, P.C. Irene’s practice area primarily focuses on strategic case management of commercial litigation and corporate matters. She has practiced extensively on commercial employment class-action defense, complex litigation matters, regulatory matters, and international investment and disputes. 

Irene also serves as general counsel to companies with over 1000 employees on a number of regulatory and compliance due diligence matters; she supports and guides clients in obtaining licensure, complying with state and federal employment laws, developing strong and efficient corporate structure and governance, and various other legal business matters.

Irene obtained her Bachelor of Finance at Pace University before graduating from Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law School with a Juris Doctor. Irene is bilingual in English and Russian.

Steven Yuniver, Managing Partner

Steven R. Yuniver is one of the Managing Partners of Sinayskaya Yuniver, P.C. Steven’s practice area focuses on commercial litigation and business transactions including mergers and acquisitions. Steven has extensive experience in representing companies dealing with regulatory standards, audits, and employment practices. In addition to assisting clients in litigation and compliance matters, Steven ensures that clients uphold worldwide standards for professionals in their industry which define, implement, and support efficient processes that encourage consistency across all our commercial and corporate clients.

Steven regularly appears in State and Federal courts on a wide range of issues. He also has extensive cross-border experience, including representing domestic and international companies in their business needs.

Steven manages a team of professionals working primarily with high-volume clients in a variety of industries, including commercial development, information technology, consulting, and health care. This gives him a unique perspective on strategic problem solving and implementation of policies to ensure efficient business practices.

Steven speaks English, Russian, German, and Spanish.

CARL EKBERG

Associate Attorney

Carl Ekberg is an associate attorney at Sinayskaya Yuniver, P.C.  Carl’s practice area focuses on civil and commercial litigation.  Prior to joining Sinayskaya Yuniver, P.C., Carl worked for and alongside some of the largest firms in New York on complex corporate litigation matters.

Carl graduated college from Baylor University with degrees in history and psychology, where he was featured on the Dean’s List, recipient of a scholastic scholarship, and was a member of several national honor societies.

Carl graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School with a Juris Doctorate, where he was an award-winning member of the Jessup International Moot Court team, recipient of the Scholastic Excellence Award, and the Public Interest Service Award from the Legal Aid Society.

NICHOLAS TROTTA

Associate Attorney

Nicholas Trotta serves as an associate attorney at Sinayskaya Yuniver, P.C. Nicholas passed the July 2023 New York State Bar Exam Pending Admission. He focuses on commercial transactions and litigation. Before joining our team, he refined his skills at boutique and midsize firms, gaining experience in labor, employment, and commercial sectors. Notably, he has contributed to Eric Adams’ campaign at one of those firms.

Nicholas holds a summa cum laude Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies with a minor in International Studies from St. John’s University. During his time there, he actively participated in the Legal Aid Society, Italian Club, and volunteered with the Queens Lawyers Volunteer Project. He proudly earned his Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. During this time, he revitalized the Business Law Society and served as Peer Review Editor for Family Court Review.

Nicholas showcased his expertise by publishing an article in the Family Court Review titled “Like Bringing a Knife to a Gunfight: Why IRC Section 2036 Is Not the Right Weapon to Combat Abusive Family Limited Partnerships.” The article discusses the adverse effects of the IRS’ use of IRC Section 2036 and proposes a solution to mitigate these issues.

JAMIE RAUCH

Associate Attorney

Jamie Rauch is an associate attorney at Sinayskaya Yuniver P.C. Jamie’s practice areas include
commercial transactions and a wide array of litigation matters. Before becoming a part of the firm, Jamie worked as an associate attorney in New York City, with a focus on general corporate and intellectual property transactional matters.

Jamie obtained a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Miami before graduating from Brooklyn Law School with a Juris Doctorate. While in law school, Jamie served as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society – Appellate Division, where she became the 2021 New York Regional Champion of the International Trademark Association Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition and recipient of the Best Brief Award. Jamie also served as a Notes Editor for the Brooklyn Journal of International Law during law school, and ultimately was fortunate enough to have her Note, The Good, The Bad, and The Historically Anti-Semitic: An Analytical Comparison of Anti-Hate Laws in Germany and the United States, selected for publication in the 47th volume of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law.

ARTHUR KAMSAN

Law Clerk

Arthur Kamsan joined Sinayskaya Yuniver, P.C. as a Paralegal in 2018. He works with the Commercial Transactions Team, which a focus on Commercial Real Estate Transactions.

Arthur entered the legal field in 2017, and has been involved in matters involving commercial real estate, business acquisitions and mergers, and licensing needs for businesses.

Arthur graduated from the City University of New York at Baruch College in June 2022 with a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Finance. He is currently enrolled in New York Law School, striving to become the first attorney in his family. Arthur is bilingual in English and Russian.


CAROLINE GREENHALGH

Law Clerk

Caroline Greenhalgh joined Sinayaskaya Yuniver, P.C. as a litigation Law Clark in 2023. Caroline graduated magna cum laude from The University of the South with a major in Russian Studies and a minor in International and Global Studies.

While a student at Sewanee she was an actively participated in the campus tour guide program, was a member of the varsity equestrian team, and volunteered with the Loudoun County Public Defender’s Office during her senior year. Caroline will soon graduate with a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and an LLM in European Law from Université Paris Panthéon-Assas.

LAUREN MCGOLDRICK

Paralegal

Lauren McGoldrick is a commercial litigation and real estate Paralegal. Before joining Sinayskaya Yuniver, P.C., Lauren’s experience in the field of law began in 2013 as a receptionist and legal assistant at an Estate Planning law firm.

In addition to her paralegal work, Lauren is responsible for administrative office duties, and billing. In her interactions with clients, Lauren ensures that every client is comfortable, and well informed, while they navigate stressful legal situations.

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Communications from the College of Staten Island.

MITCHELL LEV

Paralegal

Mitchell Lev is a member of the Sinayskaya Yuniver, P.C. legal team, having joined as a Paralegal in 2020. With a focus on transactional matters, Mitchell has played a role in business acquisitions, buy/sells, and commercial real estate development deals.

Clients from diverse industries have benefited from his expertise in navigating licensing requirements as well as his attention to various government agency requirements. Detail-oriented and proactive, Mitchell offers invaluable support across various commercial practice areas and teams.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the City University of John Jay, he envisions a future in commercial and corporate law by commencing law school in 2024. Beyond his legal acumen, Mitchell possesses language proficiency in both English and Russian, which enriches his ability to communicate effectively with a broader clientele.

With a passion for the legal profession and a commitment to excellence, Mitchell Lev continues to make significant contributions to the success of the firm and the satisfaction of its clients.

KATHERINE VASKEVICH

Paralegal

Katherine Vaskevich joined Sinayskaya Yuniver, P.C. as a Paralegal in 2018. She assists the managing partners and associate attorneys through every step of the litigation process, with a particular focus on commercial litigation and employment law.

Katherine graduated summa cum laude as a Dean’s Scholar from the City University of New York at Baruch College in June 2019. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Public and International Affairs. At her graduation, Katherine was awarded the Marxe School of International and Public Affair’s Honorary Degree.

In the summer of 2018, Katherine studied placemaking and urban space design at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Katherine has extensive experience within government and non-profit agencies.

In addition to interning at the New York County District Attorney’s Office, the New York State Senate, and the Kings County Court System, Katherine has helped in non-profits such as the International Rescue Committee and Changing the Present.

Katherine is bilingual in English and Russian, and strives to fulfill her passion of helping those in need with her growing legal expertise. Katherine is attending law school as of fall 2020.
